Richard Noel Marx (born September 16, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois) is an adult contemporary singer and songwriter. He had a string of successful hit singles in the late 1980s and early 1990s, including "Right Here Waiting," "Hazard," and "Hold On to the Nights." Although most of his successful songs were slow ballads like these, many of his songs had an upbeat, classic rock style, such as "Don't Mean Nothing," "Should've Known Better," "Satisfied," and "Wait for the Sunrise." Marx placed himself in the record books by being the first solo artist to have his first seven singles hit the top 5 on the US charts. Marx was born to Dick and Ruth Marx. Marx grew up in a mixed faith household where father was Jewish and his mother was a Christian. His father was a jingle writer for commercials, which is where Marx got his start writing at the tender age of five.

Keep Coming Back Lyrics

Richard Marx

You know just how to hurt me
And how to take all the pain away
Girl, you must be the devil in disguise
There were tiimes, I think you knew
When I was so afraid of you
Theres some kind of madness in your eyes
You know a place buried deep in my heart
Nobody else can see
Something in you has taken some kind of hold on me
Chorus
I dont know why I keep coming back to you, baby
I dont know why I keep coming back to you
To you baby
You say we shouldnt be lovers
And I say we cant just be friends
And all this talking just makes me want you more
Youve got a way of confusing a heart
That nobody else could do
Why should I try, I dont want to get over you
Chorus
I dont know why I keep coming back to you, baby
Just tell me why I keep coming back to you
I dont know why I keep coming back to you, baby
Tell me why I keep coming back to you
Im so in love, so in love with the games that you play
So in love, and nothing can keep me away
Youve got a way of confusing a heat
That nobody else could do
Why should I try, I dont want to get over you
Repeat chorus
