Richard Noel Marx (born September 16, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois) is an adult contemporary singer and songwriter. He had a string of successful hit singles in the late 1980s and early 1990s, including "Right Here Waiting," "Hazard," and "Hold On to the Nights." Although most of his successful songs were slow ballads like these, many of his songs had an upbeat, classic rock style, such as "Don't Mean Nothing," "Should've Known Better," "Satisfied," and "Wait for the Sunrise." Marx placed himself in the record books by being the first solo artist to have his first seven singles hit the top 5 on the US charts. Marx was born to Dick and Ruth Marx. Marx grew up in a mixed faith household where father was Jewish and his mother was a Christian. His father was a jingle writer for commercials, which is where Marx got his start writing at the tender age of five.

If You Don’t Want My Love Lyrics

Richard Marx

I know you have reservations
And youre just along for the ride
But I see a slight hesitation
What are you trying to hide
Dont be afraid to bare your soul
Nothing you say could be too bold
Im growing old
If you dont want my love
Tell me now cause Ill survive
If you dont want my love
Im sure that somebody does tonight
You make a grown man quiver
It might be hard to believe
But its time to stand and deliver
Youve just been playing with me
I dont want to blow my only chance
But youve got to show me where you stand
Or drop my hand
If you dont want my love
Tell me know cause Ill survive
If you dont want my love
It wont be the end of my life
If you dont want my love
Night will fall and the sun will rise
If you dont want my love
Im sure that somebody does tonight
I dont want to blow my only chance
But youve got to show me where you stand
Or drop my hand
If you dont want my love
Tell me now cause Ill survive
If you dont want my love
It wont be the end of my life
If you dont want my love
Night will fall and sun will rise
If you dont want my love
Im sure that somebody does tonight
If you dont want my love
Aint gonna worry tonight
If you dont want my love
Well somebody does tonight
